Meh. I went to Ajs Cafe and ask for a cup of coffee and a small yam wrap and kale salad. The coffee was okay but the kale salad and yam wrap were very small for the expensive price I paid. And the old waitress that worked there didn’t help me in any way when I need a cloth to wipe my table as it was dirty when I sat down. She was very rude to me and i didn’t enjoy my time there at all.

Bland. The food isn’t good. I had to add a lot of salt and pepper and I don’t even add salt to my food normally. I had to ask for a fork and spoon to eat my soup and salad and they looked put off by that like it was a strange request. I expect that to be automatically given to me. How am I suppose to eat soup and salad without cuttlery? The cuttlery they did give me was wooden. Try eating soup with a wooden spoon, it turns inside out from the moisture. I’m now wearing the soup. Also the soup and salad are so tiny that I think the serving sizes are more appropriate for kids. The good thing though is the ingredients are fresh and they look nice.

The High Price Of Bland. AJ’s Organic Cafe is beautifully situated in one of the best looking locations in the city, the Atrium in downtown Victoria. While the location makes for a pleasant and relaxing spot to grab lunch or take a break, AJ’s is another matter. Let me list the good points, 1. the food is as far as can be determined entirely organic which is something that Victoria is often missing 2. the restaurant is clean and bright looking……and that is about it. Now the not so good 1. the menu is fairly small, limited, and uninteresting and unoriginal.. mostly limited to sandwichs/soups/salads/wraps 2. the price point is quite high for the fairly small portions that are given and the limited choice 3. the food seems relatively fresh……but it is just bland and I mean bland, flavourless boring regular food you might make at home if you were in a hurry. When it comes down to it unless the menu changes to offer a greater selection or more tastey foods there is no point in eating there. One more thing did I mention that it is quite pricey for what you get. I will not be going back myself, just not worth it.
