Anatolia express has the potential to be much better. That’s a bit odd considering that ASPECTS of what they do serve are acutally quite good. Take for example, the Iskander platter. The sauce and seasoned veg are excellent but the meat is overcooked and bland. It’s a weird and inconsistent mix and I admit that I may have caught them on an off day. They could also do much more to capitalize on their location, they have one of the best views around and yet it’s still a whole on the wall.
Unexpected food service mess up. The business takes our order and gives us 2 piece cod and says its halibut. I continue to wait 20 minutes + while the food is cooling for my actual 2 piece halibut. They dont even know the product they serving. While they mess up beef shawarma with a customer asking for chicken. I ask for full refund he says no and gives me 2 piece of cod refund which was the lesser of the amounts… complete rip off and bad experience. He needs a new business model.
Very good food, very fresh, friendly owner, very nice and convenient location highly recommend
Had the cheesesteak on his handmade bread which was amazing! Ate some falafel as well which was yummy with the hot sauce. Super tasty scallion sauce which is handmade as well. Deserts are pretty far out with the Turkish coffee. Great view…perfect after a walk along the seawall
The falafels are the best in Vancouver, freshly made per order nicely browned and crispy on the outside, but delicate and flavorful inside. The falafel platter comes with salad, pickled red cabbage, hummus, scallion sauce and freshly baked pita. The scallion sauce is tasty and the platter is a generous delicious meal. Topped off with a Turkish coffee you’ll be fueled for the rest of the day.
Iskender And Falafel. If you like to eat the plate version of doner durum(wrap), eat it here. You will come back again and again. With their succulent yogurt sauce and the tomato sauce this dish is addictive. Also if you are lookiIng for a place who does not microwave their falafel this is again is the place. Every time I ordered, falafel is fried fresh and served in their home made pide. Their green onion sauce is wonderful together with their tahini sauce. I suggest you also try their Ayran a yogur drink very refreshing. savory drink though.
