Ramen noodles are thick and bouncy and the broth was good. We ordered the vegetarian tan tan and the truffle chasu. The baos are so fluffy soft. Of the 4 (bean croquette, mushroom, bahn mi) i liked the pork belly one best. Casual atmosphere with pay first and seat yourself style. Good for a quick meal stop before going off to the next event.
Bao is a good restaurant. Some of the ramen options are hit or miss but the Tan Tan Men is glorious. Spicy in the best way, with noodles that are wonderfully soft and fresh. The kind of food you have periodic cravings for. The bao are analogous to a Chinese version of pinche tacos and I like every variety that I tried. I think the casual-but-nice atmosphere suits the menu.
