Pearls make or break most bubble teas for me and Boba Cabana does a good job at not over cooking theirs. A lot of their drinks they have tweaked to perfection and I love that they have specials. I recommend their HK coffee milk tea and their Thai milk tea. The employees are also very sweet.
I’ve come to this spot quite a few times now because it’s so conveniently placed right on the new west platform. The store has a nice variety of bubble tea flavourssome of my favourites being sea salt caramel, Thai iced tea and earl grey. Their pearls seem to always be perfectly cooked and overall the service is swell. I like the relaxed vibe, as well as the fact that a majority of drinks can be made veg-friendly if you ask. I’ve had waffles here before but I must say I wasn’t that pleased by them compared to some other waffle places you can find downtown or in the Richmond/Burnaby Area. They just didn’t wow me. I’d stick to drinks here.
Ordered a hot Ginger Honey fruit tea and a Spicey Cuban savoury waffle as their lunch special for $10.50. The hot tea came first. The taste was good but there was no ginger in it. Instead, a faint taste of longan was detected. The waffle came around 10 minutes later. The ham and chorizo sausage were both cold and slightly hard but they tasted okay. My main issue was with the cutleries… The knife and fork provided were incapable of cutting the meat and waffle cleanly, leading to a huge mess. I had a lot of trouble getting through the waffle and would not recommend this for a date. The overall atmosphere and service were okay.
first to come to this place cause my friends has been raving about it.. ambience is good, drinks that I ordered was also good the down fall is that the customer service is so bad. To that guy who shouted at me I hope you feel better at making other people feel bad about them..
Maybe we just ordered the wrong things… But this was awful. The salted caramel was JUST SALT. It was like it was a soup. Also had the sea salt cream, it didn’t taste like much, I think it was a bit too much cream too because it just made me feel really sick. Pearls have no sweetness to it either. PLEASE USE SUGAR PLEASE.
