This is a clean and comfortable sports bar located right next to the BC stadium. In addition to various drinks, they feature a menu of comfort food (they are apparently currently undergoing a menu change). I actually stumbled upon the place by mistake: I had initially wanted to go to Back Forty, which was located across the street but apparently they are closed (I don’t know if it’s permanent). I ended up ordering their Mac & Cheese, Baked Brie, and Chicken Potato Gnocchi. All of the food was quite tasty and the server I had was quite friendly. The prices are a tad on the higher side, though not outrageous. All in all, this is a place that’s worth a visit.Mac & Cheese ($13):3.5/5This was mixed with bacon bits, and is topped a garlic crumble. The noodles were nicely cooked, being tender while still retaining some chew. The cream cheese sauce was creamy and flavourful; I do wish that there was more of it as the noodles on top were dry and a bit bland in the absence of the sauce. I really enjoyed the bits of bacon however, which were salty and had a nice, smokey flavour. The bread crumb topping lent a nice bit of texture.Baked Brie ($15):4/5This is served with candied pecans, honey fig jam, and toasted baguette. The brie was creamy, with a nice pungent flavour; the fig jam and pecans had a great sweetness that paired excently with the cheese. The baguette was nicely toasted, being crispy on the outside and tender and chewy on the interior.Chicken Potato Gnocchi ($19):4/5This consisted of chicken and gnocchi, and is served in a pesto sauce, along with two slices of toast. In the menu the chicken was described as pulled chicken breast, but it turns out to be just pieces of chicken. However, it was still quite tender and juicy (for white meat), and was flavourful. The gnocchi was nice, tender and slightly chewy; I did find them to be a bit bland on their own, but they were very tasty when coated in the pesto sauce, which had a wonderful garlicy flavour. I also really enjoyed the accompanying bread, which was nicely toasted.Summary:Food: 4/5Price: 3.5/5Service: 3.5/5Overall: 3.5/5Recommendations: Baked Brie, Chicken Potato Gnocchi

Really slow service. I came in with my boyfriend on a weekday. There wasn’t a canuck’s game playing that night so the place was basically empty with only 3 other tables with partons. We were seated and given our menus. We ordered one appetizer, 2 mains, and a dessert. The wait time between each course was LONG. There was only one waiter and he was inattentive. The food was okay. The presentation of each dish looked great but the food tasted mediocre. We had the scallops, the scallops tasted fine but my bf didn’t like the pure/foam that came with it. I ordered the artic char and the salmon tasted great. I wasn’t so fond of the pure underneath the salmon. It was really sweet. My bf got the steak frits. The meat tasted good but the fries were extremely salty. The last thing we ordered was the cheese cake with a berry compote. That was the best part of the meal. The cheese cake treated delicious. Too bad the slow service and medicore food made me dislike this place. I would only come back for the cheese cake, but that is if I’m really craving it.

I eat out frequently and am rarely impressed, but Bogart’s is an anomily in what sometimes seems like a city full of mediocre restaurants. The menu isn’t fancy, but the food is exceptional. Their presentation is stunning and if you’re not too hungry you may just find yourself looking at your dinner for a while before deciding to dig in. Don’t wait for a game night to check this place out, you will not be disappointed.

Consistently great food. I have had the Shephard’s Pie, burger, salad and scallop dish at Bogart’s. The food is consistently very good. I eat out a lot and am often disappointed, but Bogart’s had always impressed me. The food is fresh, homemade, excellent quality. The food comes out hot and looks attractive. They have wine and beer on tap and I haven’t ventured beyond that for beverages although they do have a full bar.

Came to have supper with my husband and daughter. Husband: service was good and food was greatMyself: amazing flavors, provided information regarding allergy concerns. Friendly service. Very short wine list and table was fairly small for drinks and dinner plates.
