Stale bread. Nasty staff. Need I say more. I think they sell day olds as made that day. Careful what you buy here. Years ago this was the best place in town but like so many businesses in the downtown area these days the quality is gone and the staff are rude. The place is dirty too. Kinda like the rest of downtown. The street people and druggies in the area are ruining Victoria.
Staff turnover a bit of a problem. I get my bread here all the time. They have a super-young staff that still doesn’t get it. She’s better than when she first started, but she sorely needs some customer service training. She doesn’t even know that she’s being snarky.They used to have two very friendly staff, but I don’t see them anymore.Luckily, they have great bread and reasonable prices. There are tons of unfriendly service people so you just decide if you can handle the bad service when there is great product. There is only so much I can take though.To whom it may concern: please don’t close before 5pm.
Used to be Great but Snarky Staff ruin it.. This Bakery has lovely sandwiches, break and other baked goods. The quality of products is wonderful. I work local to the shop and have frequented it over the years. Sadly ever time I go in these last months the service staff are rude, snarky and not helpful at all. Doesn’t matter which one you get they are all miserable. I simply asked for 3 bars to be cut in half so that I could serve them to a small group. The server acted like it was a monumental task and was quite rude. This certainly isn’t the first time I have felt this way about the staff working in Bond Bonds, it’s unfortunate but my business will be going over to Crust Bakery on Fort street from now on. Friendly staff and wonderful products.
Overpriced and sub-par. If you are looking for an awesome baked goods experience look elsewhere. Crusty dry breads and an uninspired variety. To top it all off the owners are a couple of the rudest people I have ever met. Their staff is friendly enough, but the couple that run the place were grumpy and rude. I’ve only been a couple times, but the fact I picked up on their attitude so quickly speaks volumes to me. Skip this one and look for better bread.
Flimsy Bread. It’s the worst bread ever. It’s so flimsy from them stretching it – more profit I guess. The bread in the grocery store has more substance. It’s also over-priced because of all the stretching they do. So, if you want bread as thin as air maybe it’s for you. The counter lady is very rude, too.
Rip off cheese bread. WASTE OF MONEY.I bought a loaf of cheese bread and after leaving met with my boyfriend who carried the loaf for me. He noted how incredibly light the loaf was. It was light because there was pretty much no cheese in it. I don’t mind paying more to get more but I paid for a light loaf of airy dry white bread.Will never return.
