My wife and I are dying here on our last evening in Vancouver. What a pleasant treat! They have a phenomenal menu, and amazing array of oysters from all over the West Coast, and to top it all off, they serve chocolate souffls! The service was impeccable (thank you Brian, and thank you, Yvette). I am told the chef here has won numerous awards in 2017, and I can see why… it’s almost like a fusion of French and Asian cuisine, and it works beautifully! My ling cod was wonderful and the presentation was beautiful. And, did I mention they serve a killer chocolate souffl?!!!
The rating of 3.4 does not reflect the meal we had last night, we had a table of seven and have eaten in restaurants all over the world and this was up there with the very best. Starting with the fresh oysters and finishing with the halibut I rate this personally as the best Ive had anywhere including my beloved Australia. All other party members said theirs was delicious and flavoursome. My wifes only complaint was the coffee she had for desert was not up to her very high. standards but those standards are impossible to meet in most cases. This would be the first five I have ever given a five rating and much deserved. Pricing was very reasonable for such an experience.
Came for happy hour, had a nice Spanish wine, the Korean galbi dog and a ling cod taco. Loved the pickled vegetables and spicy ketchup that accompanied the waygu beef dog. Great service, very relaxed atmosphere.
Had the best seafood chowder of my life here. The creaminess and flavour were shocking. We came here with a tour and enjoyed the offerings we received. The price for our visit was good, but I am not sure if I would pay their usual prices to come here again.
DOVF – 2018 at $40 per personAppetizer : lobster infused carrot bisque (served w. bread & small tarts); Entrees : roasted ling cod, grilled marinated bavette (add $5.00); Desserts : black forest cake, raspberry crmeuxThe soup was nice & hot, ling cod was tender, however the beef was tough to chew (not up to the standard). The desserts looked sophisticated.Overall comments : all the food was a bit too salty (even the small tarts); service was very attentive. When we got the bill, we discovered that there was an additional of $5 for the marinated bavette (we checked the Dine-out Website and there’s no indication for the additional cost). Since this is a fine dining restaurant, I do not think people will care to pay a few dollars more but thought that they should have the information placed on the website as accurate as possible.
Went for a nice Sunday brunch with a group. Not an extensive menu but good enough and high quality. Staff was very attentive and professional. Upscale surroundings and decor.
