I just had one of the best outside of Montreal, Montreal smoked meat sandwichs since I lived in LaSalle… but no pickle! I enjoy the meal greatly but something felt wrong… afterwards I realized it was served with no pickle. I now sadly remain stranded on the West Coast without a diner in sight that can provide me a proper smoked meat. Of course I kid, well kind of (give me a pickle – it is the way it is done!) but the sandwich was great and I can’t wait to bring my whole family to enjoy not only the food, but the friendly service and artsy dcor.
