Upon recommendation by my partner, I tried Deadbeetz and settled upon their flagship Beatrice Burger. I’m not usually a fan of beets in a burger, but they were definitely the star of the show. The rest of the $14 burger/combo was regrettable. The patty, woefully underseasoned (seemingly not at all) had no beef flavour and was the thickness of a McDonald’s single burger. I tasted nothing besides mayonnaise and beets. Also, $11 for this sad sandwich and no cheese? I got the root chips as a side as they sounded delicious. 50% of them were crispy and tasty; and the other half were soggy, undercooked, and stuck together. I definitely won’t be back, especially considering the price they charge for what is essentially the amount of a Happy Meal from nasty McDonald’s.Deadbeetz should be given their eulogy.
