Simply the best. Minimalist approach (no crazy sauces on the sushi) with evident focus on detail and quality. The best I have had. Staff get to know you and are super nice. The soups are also great.

We tried twice to get in and only could by making a 7:00 reservation. Well worth it. Great food. Quick and friendly service. Loved the warm towel.Only change would be a walk through in the bench seating. We are not very tall (or young). This is how Japanese food is done folks.

Went there with friends twice this week. Good food with the worst servers among all Japanese restaurants in town. The female server with short hair was a rude freak. We didn’t give any tips because of her rudeness today. It’s funny that when we left she rolled her eyes on us. If anyone is reading this, don’t go there she will piss u off and ruin ur day.

Good food, but unfortunately, very vey bad customer service every time!! Visited few times and this is always the issue. Understand it’s hard for server to take care of all tables when it’s busy. But 2 female servers are rude, serve with cold/mad face, not asking or checking your meals, served our table after the ones came in later than us. They don’t even make eye contact or look at you when grad your card to pay the bills. For the first time ever, no tips for this kind of service. Not even the same level of service with any other Japanese restaurant in town.

I never really write reviews, but this place makes me so angry I had to share my experience with you all.It was our first time here and for sure it will be the last time too. We ordered some nigiri and sushi rolls to go. When we opened the container, we realized the quality and the size of the sushi were not up to standard at all. The nigiri were exceptionally tiny, almost to a ridiculous point. They are literally the size of my guy friend’s pinky… Although the sushi rolls were in a decent size, they were falling apart. For those of you who loves good sushi know a good sushi roll shouldn’t be falling apart when you pick it up. The overall taste and quality are below average. On top of that, the male owner (or the manager) was giving off a really bad attitude when we were making our orders in the restaurant. So rude that it ruined all our mood and appetite. If you are expecting customer service from this place, you will be disappointed.I mean why go here just to try and even get a slightest chance to ruin your evening! There are so many other restaurants that give way better services and quality of food. Don’t be silly! This place definitely does not worth your time!! 1 STAR RESTAURANT ALL THE WAY!!

Overall, this restaurant is not as good as those in Vancouver of a similar price point. The cooked food was average. We had the Unagi don, and beef rice. The beef rice was accompanied by broccoli – interesting combination. The salmon and tuna sashimi was above average, though nothing overly special.

This is a great Japanese restaurant that’s small and intimate! Our servers were all Japanese which is nice because they’re intimately familiar with the food. The tuna tataki was by far the best dish! Their rolls were actually quite delicious because they’re slightly larger but not because of rice but because of the filling! In fact, I’d say it was significantly less rice!!! Really refreshing. The nigiri was standard but overall, the restaurant was quite a pleasant experience!
