Not good. Too much falafel, luke warm, hardly any veg, watery sauces. Oh and advances from the guy behind the counter the entire time….. Chill dude.
The falafel was not good. It was re heated in the microwave, and I could not finish it.
Mmmmmm. The Chicken Shawarma plate is what i opt for. It is well stacked with the oh so good shredded chicken on rice doused in sauces, it had a healthy helping of tabbouleh on the side, the citrus kick to it was nice, it also came with some hummus and some pita. I must say it was good, i enjoyed it thoroughly.
Informal dining one gets a shawarna ambiance. My favourite is chivken shawarma. Delicious!!!
Ehhhhhh. I figured it out why people don’t come to this place. There’s no one inside, the service was bad. Worse of all the shawarma was OLD and gross!!! The price of the shawarma place is $10!!! I didn’t want to throw the food away, so I just gave it to the homeless person next block. I DO NOT recommend this PLACE at all. Very disappointed.
Mediocre felafel – walk a few blocks farther to Nuba. There’s no comparison.
Delicious Shawerma. I went to Falafel Maison for the second time last night after watching the Canucks game at the Commodore. I was craving Middle Eastern food and it was either going to be this place or Aladdins, and FM had the nicer sit down atmosphere of the two (though still far from good, it’s very small inside). I ordered a chicken shawerma plate that comes with hummus, a heaping portion of chicken, rice and bread. Just a warning for picky types, it also comes with a lot of diced parsley drizzled in lemon juice — I love it, but it may not be for everybody. They ask if you want hot sauce over top, and if you can at all handle a little bit of spice I’d recommend saying yes. It’s delicious. The price is standard for this type of fare: just under $10 taxes in for the chicken plate. As I mentioned the restaurant is very small with only three or four little round tables with bar stools right in front of the front counter where you can sit. But you obviously don’t come here for the ambiance, but for the food. They have a lot of other things on the menu as well such as wraps and sandwiches, but I love my rice plates. Mmm I’m getting hungry as I write this.
