Went here for lunch with a friend. I’ve been here before for dinner long time ago but first time for lunch. Basically, if you want to pay $15 for 6-7 shrimp with pan fried vegetables cooked in front of you, go here. Otherwise, take your money and pay less than $10 for the exact same thing at Edo Japan in the Bay center food court.
It was AMAZING! Love the meal being cooked in front of your eyes. My favourite part is their steak sauce that you put on your rice. Their vegetables are just cooked, and their meals are sooooo filling. Great restaurant, will be back again!
The sushi was great when they had the sushi bar open. Shungo we miss you with your high standards and attention to detail. The other staff and managers do lots of eye rolling and the girl that takes your money at the till can hardly muster a smile. They closed the sushi bar which makes no sense what so ever so I have no intention of ever going back.
What a joke this place just needs to close already by far the highest turn over for cooks probably because they pay them 11$ an hour which you can tell in there bad performance worst show the cook couldnt even make a volcano onion stack food taste like vh sauce plus so over priced you end up leaving hungry and broke lol we need a real japanese village in victoria . Ps dont go here thriftys sushi is better and 1/4 the price even thou thriftys sushi sucks its better than here
While it is always entertaining it is a bit pricey for stir-fry. But you get dinner and a show, so once in awhile never hurts! Tuna tataki is always a good bet if you like fish!
Don’t go there, save yourself some money.. garbage!!. This has to be the most filthy Japanese restaurant I have been to.. The floor is sticky, not sure how they clean it.. The teriyaki chicken is over cooked and salty..
Very disappointed. Went for dinner with my girlfriend and we both ordered two dishes from the sushi bar menu. Both her plates came in timely fashion and she ate them slowly waiting for something of mine to show up, still had nothing ten minutes after she had her dishes cleared so I asked them to pack up mine. When we shared our displeasure with the server she got the manager to give us 10% off….. Food was bad, service was bad, and they don’t know how to accommodate after screwing up. This place has gone downhill of late and I won’t be recommending it.
