Excellent food, great service, and at very reasonable prices! This place has definitely earned my recommendation! I can barely think of ways for them to improve!
Kim House Japanese BistroHad a quick late dinner there with the family after the Canada Day parade. Nothing spectacular looking at the restaurant from the outside with all the pictures of displayed. This same impression follows you into the restaurant. From first look, its just another little Chinese owned Japanese restaurant. The waitresses were very attentive and nice. There were lots and lots of different choices in the menu even for the pickiest eaters! Traditional Vietnamese food was also offered! My review will just be focused on Japanese food.Portions and presentation were great! Same as what you would expect when youre in an average sushi restaurant. Prices were fair. It was minutes from the time we ordered to the time we received our dishes. Part way through our meals, we decided to try a couple of different items.Ambiance is nothing spectacular. Just another Japanese eatery. I did notice the restaurant is very clean. Waitresses are VERY nice and friendly.I would highly recommend this restaurant if youre look for good quality sushi at reasonable prices. The best part, if sushi is not your thing you can always Pho!Great food, great prices with friendly waitresses!
My experience here wasn’t horrible, but definitely not good. The service wasn’t good. One of two tables in the restaurant you expect to get decent service but it was bare minimum. The food was ok, the peanut sauce was old and gritty tasting and I ordered a glass of red wine but it was clearly weeks old because it tasted like vinegar, at leas the waitress replaced it with a new glass. Prices are overpriced for the quality and service.Wouldn’t recommend.
Food average. Service is non- existent. You can get better food at a food courtNot authentic Japanese since it is owned and operated by Vietnamese family– nothing wrong but not authenticDid I mention no service??
I used to reccomend this restaurant to my friends but not anymore. I used to order Mexican Rolls from them, but the other day I caught them holding ingredients and charging me for them. I reccomend everyone to double check that they are not over charging you. When I confronted them they tried to lie to me, but I showed them the picture they advertised and pointed to the ingredients they purposefully left out. I will not being going there anymore.
Better than I expected. I’m 25, live on my own and that translates into eating out every day, usually twice a day. I’d passed this place a million times and always ignored it because they serve Vietnamese and Japanese food and, in my experience, this normally means they’re money hungry with big menus and little talent. NOT the case here; I reluctantly popped in to satisfy a sushi craving when everything else was closed and was blown away at the reasonable price, the fresh quality of the food and in the three times I’ve been since, service has been fast and friendly. I’d say if you’re looking for some good Asian food, look no further.
