Fresh hand pulled noodles downtown. That’s right. This is a decent place to grab take out for lunch. My go to is the spicy Dan noodles my girlfriend always gets. Its savory and spicy with peanuts. The service has always been consistently good. Prices will be debatable, but in my opinion, it is downtown. Prices are slightly a touch higher. It was my first time having take out here. I would come back to try another item for lunch, if I’m in the area again.
Really decent Lan Zhou beef noodle soup here! Love how tender the beef is. The soup is tasty without MSG. We also ordered their lamb skewers but were a bit disappointed with them. They were breaded and fried, not grilled. If you are looking for a decent bowl of noodles, I would definitely recommend this place!
Kung Fu Noodle at downtown Vancouver is located on Seymour Street and George Street. It is a block away from Pacific Centre. What I really enjoyed is the simple menu and simple ingredients. The hand pulled noodles are amazing. It is a very authentic Chinese noodles place, but it is easily overlooked because of the low key appearance on the exterior and interior. The food was ok, however, the service was terrible. The waiter pretended that he was unable to speak and understand Mandarin when service us. However, we overheardhe speak Mandarin with other staff and customers. It was so weird and bad experience. All the staffs never smile or say thanks to customers. It was such bad experience, I will never go there again.
Came here for lunch. Quick service. I tried the Kung Fu Noodle Beef with Tomato Soup. I liked the noodles but I didn’t like the soup base. It was too oily and flavourless.
Noodles are made fresh, but should have perhaps been thrown under some cold water as they were pretty much mush when trying to dig it out with the plastic fork I was given. The meat sauce had a good flavour and tasted good with the cucumber. However I couldn’t finish the dish because the noodles got too mushy. The crispy chicken was not bad – nice and crispy but could be enhanced with some spice.
Restaurant sits right beside Bay Sushi on Seymour. I came here with some coworkers for lunch and got seated with no problems. This places serves Sichuan Chinese style food. I ordered a combo for about $12 which included a soup and pop. The dish itself was tasty. I would certainly come back here.
