Sweet crepe was DIVINE. Went to the Winter Market at Nat Bailey Stadium over the weekend where we had a chance to sample their Nutella Ricotta crepe and omg, was it heaven!! So creamy and smooth and they did not skimp out on the chocolately good stuff either. Definitely will be back to try their savoury selections next time! (we were too full by then)
What a gem!. This hard to find food cart is simply amazing. They can only be found at farmers markets, so if you’re lucky enough to stumble upon them, get yourself in line! I’ve only tried two of their items and I’ve been blown away by how amazingly delicious their crepes are. The Quebecoise and chocolate, chestnut and rum crepes completely rocked my tastebuds. The former was a brilliant blend of sweet and savoury and hey, it even covers all four food groups! The sweet one was just liquid heaven unlike anything else I’d ever tasted. Words can not describe how awesome the food is. You just have to try it for yourself.
Buckwheat Crepes. Not since my travels in France have I had such traditional buckwheat crepes(gluten-free, FYI). Even the sweet crepe has some buckwheat. The savoury crepes are a real meal for not much coin. I like the simple sweet crepe where my taste-buds can enjoy the subtle flavours in the crepe batter. If you can find La Boheme, it is a food-truck sometimes at Trout Lake, you may have to stand in line. Totally worth the wait. Also the proprietor is a Real French Treat.
Winter Farmers Market. I had the Cheese & Greens coz I wasn’t hungry at that time. I didn’t like the buckwheat crepe. It was pre-made and too dry. I also didn’t like the herbs and spices that they used. It was very filing. I ended up having only half of it. Many people ordered the ali baba, maybe I just didn’t choose the right one. I don’t think I would go back for another try anytime soon.
Amazing crepes! These guys offer fillings I’ve never seen before, both sweet and savory. A bit on the pricey side, and there’s usually a long line, but it’s definitely worth it.
A long line up for a reason. This is just a wonderful little experience. The Ham and Cheese was good, but the Bison one was the best by far. Cute little trailer all around town. Saw them at the Steveston Market as well. Lovely little workers there as well.
