Great little cozy restaurant. We stopped in here without reservations for a drink and they were very happy to accommodate us before an actual reservation. Challenged the server and bartender to make us drinks and they were delicious. Would definitely love to come back for dinner. The menu looked amazing.

Came here on a Saturday night for the first time during Dine Around. I’ve heard good things about their drinks – even read about their mixologist from a local lifestyle magazine. I had looked online for their menu and had some drinks in mind I wanted to try, but when I got there the menu had changed. I ended up orderingTHE Magic Potion – I admit the sparkling rose portion was what appealed to me. Compared to other $30 menus I’ve had during Dine Around, the one at Lil’ Jumbo was a little underwhelming to be honest. I would definitely come here for their drinks as it seems they’re more known for that. The food portions were not large so I wouldn’t come here expecting a big hearty meal. Having said that, my duck confit was made well and the lemon olive oil cake was crumbly and delicious. Perfect place to get a little dressed up and have a girls’ night and a few drinks with some small bites on the side. The ambiance was very energetic with lots of conversation and music. But if you want to get into deep conversation it was very hard to hear each other and you end up yelling at your dining partner the entire night.

Good basic food. Lots of spirits to choose from although I’m not convinced they actually stock them all, there are hundreds and this place is quite small! Not being spirit fans, my buddy and I started with the advertised special beer (Whistler Brewing Co Uncommon Lager). After a couple of bottles each we were told they had run out. None of the other beers were that good so we tried the cocktails. Not really my thing but our lady companions enjoyed them. The bar staff are happy to make cocktails to your specification, a nice touch.

Great happy hour spot. They have an awesome selection of cocktails, deserts and randomly picked appetizers. The fresh oysters here are amazing. Also, the bartenders here are amazing mixoligists, so don’t be afraid to just ask for a spirit with a certain flavor profile to match and all times they made drinks I wanted the recipe for.

Big delights are found in this tiny spot- Time your visit with a sunset on the harbor footsteps away then walk down the narrow hall that almost speakeasy-like belies what is to be found inside. We were greeted by the charming Marley that made us feel right at home and encouraged me to try the dubious sounding banana drink found on the menu- delicious. The meal continued with a Humboldt squid appetizer, a salmon entree and the wife had the ribeye- more deliciousness. I would return to the lovable Little Jumbo if only for the hip atmosphere, cocktails and the rich and addicting duck fat popcorn.

An absolute must for locals and tourists alike. Little jumbo has an atmosphere that is so unique and intimate, even if you are just going for gourmet drinks it is worth the (often) wait. Drinks are fabulous, although pricey, and there is nothing that compares. Menu is constantly changing and offers unique and local ingredients. Service is great. Small restaurant which means you can really enjoy the space. Love love love.

Came in Saturday night. Had to wait for a table as the place was packed. Staff was very friendly and genuinely looked like they were having a good time. We were let in quicker than anticipated… We decided to try the steak sharing platter and some cocktails. The food was delicious, but we thought the platter could have been more filling. The steak was perfectly cooked (med rare) and the prawns were awesome. We just wanted more. Cocktails were out of this world, as was the chocolate tart!! Also loved the decor and overall vibe…. we’ll definitely be back!
