I had a London fog, which was made very well! Also, I had a chocolate chip cookie (which isn’t the one in the photo, that one is my friends). It was amazing. It was very fluffy and had this nice sweetness to it. The ambience is really calm. The staff were also incredibly friendly. If I come back to Victoria I will definitely visit again.

With Bean Around he World closing for 2 months, I have been casting about for good coffee. Finally found it. The americanos here are excellent. They use a very dark roast and make them strong.

Delicious breakfast meeting!. A co-worker and I decided to have our morning meeting at Machiatto – I had never been, she is a dedicated regular. IT WAS DELICIOUS! I had a vanilla latte and a ham and swiss croissant (toasted on the panini press) she had a london fog and a tomotoe brie croissant. Drinks were perfect – hot steamy and pretty designs on top, food was fresh, fast, yummy. service was great, price was right. I will be back!

Why is it wherever I go I can’t get a good Panini? I tried ALL the Panini’s at Tim Hortons [only liked Tuscan Chicken – others were GROSS] and they were either too saucy, cold in the middle (with cheese not melted at all), or burnt! Not to mention soggy. I ordered a chicken panini from here and it was cold inside (like the person stated above/below this comment) and it was slow service with hardly anyone in the caffe. Another thing, service was lousy, the gentleman who was working there was not very talkative and seemed to have the idea that he was better than everyone else… at least that’s what I felt when I was there.

OK, if you like cold paninis. After walking by it for a couple of months I finally decided to check the place out. The atmosphere seemed distinctly artificial, but that might just be me.I ordered a figaro panini I think it was called (why can’t they just call it a chicken breast panini?) and the sandwich probably would have been fine, except that it hadn’t been grilled for nearly long enough- it was still cold on the inside! Not what I look for in a 7 dollar sandwich.
