Whatever you do, do not order the prime rib. Last I was here, I should’ve been able to figure out that they portion and freeze their prime rib when they asked me how I wanted it done. Can’t do that with a roast sitting in a warming oven, as it slowly turns from mid rare to mid. Brought it to the server’s attention, since it was the toughest prime rib I’d ever tasted, and we ended up leaving not long after. Great that they comp’d it, but having to leave hungry was rather anti-climatic. Haven’t been back since.

There’s a lot going for Milestones – gorgeous view of the inner harbour and its surrounds, easy-going and friendly service, and a menu that will suit all tastebud. Portion sizes were very generous, in particularly the supreme fries which was a super-sized entree, and the shrimp and salmon salad which had enough greens to feed a herd of cows. Everyone enjoyed their meal very much, and those who ordered the steak frites and the lamb sirloin demolished almost everything on their plates. The red meats were definitely the star, as those who ordered the fishes (salmon and cod) found them to be a bit on the dry side. A little less cooking time and it would have been perfect. A great place if you’re not after anything too fancy or mind-blowing, but just want a hearty feed and immerse yourself in the beautiful views and atmosphere.NB: The date night deal which consists of a shared appetiser, a main each for two, and a shared dessert for $50 is a really good deal.

Decent place for some grub and drinks! The wait period on a busy weekend wasn’t too bad (maybe 10 minutes), service was consistent and good, seating was a little tight but not crammed and location is great! Got two Appetizers because I wanted a snack. Started off with the Chili Popcorn Shrimp: Fried chili spiced shrimp served with buttered popcorn and a chili avocado aioli. It was good! Tasty, crisped to perfection, sauce really put it all together, but portion was a little small. Looked like half of it was missing as they’re were spread in the plate with lot of gaps. Second appetizer was the Garlic Cheese Bread: Warmed focaccia bread stuffed with cheddar cheese blend, topped with melted garlic butter, scallions and fresh cut salsa. Served with roasted garlic Parmesan dip. I am a big fan of focaccia bread and I really enjoyed their version of it. Bread was a bit fluffy and seasoned well. Sauce again added a little something to each bite.Overall I enjoyed this place – food, service and environment was good!
