Starbucks is better than this coffee place, and I don’t even like Starbucks. I think Starbucks is overpriced and mediocre.But Mirage coffee not only is overpriced and mediocre, the service is poor (one positive of Starbucks).For example, we asked for drinks to dine at Mirage, but there seems to have been a communication problem and they gave us to-go cups. It took us more than 10 minutes to get our drinks, though it wasn’t even really busy. Also, how long does it take to make a coffee and a latte?Taste-wise, the coffee was mediocre. Nothing special. But the latte was horrible. Also, since they give us the take-out cups, clearly they didn’t make a design on the latte.Overall, this place is overrated. Don’t go.
What’s happening to Mirage Coffee ??. I have been going to Mirage Coffee on Government for years always @ 7 am before work but the last year or so there have been several occasions when there is no one there or the coffee isn’t ready or they say we are opening later today.I mentioned it to the barrista yesterday and he said we are working on that and have let a few employees go. I was relieved and returned today to find no one there again @ 7 ! Very frustrating as I love the coffee !I know I am not the only one frustrated as I see others trying the handle to the door as well !Hope the problem gets resolved as it would be sad to see this little corner of great coffee get a bad reputation !
