This gem was worth the 45 min wait. Modern decor with a full sushi staff at the bar, their menu has a large variety of tapas and sushi rolls to order. Everything was made well and very fresh. Staff were friendly and courteous and pretty quick despite it being a busy Saturday night. Definitely a good idea to reserve a table many days in advance. Despite it being tapas, the sanuki udon and tuna tatakis were definitely a generous shareable portion. Sushi rolls were interesting and tasty. Can’t wait to visit again!
Cute little spot downtown. When I arrived, they told me it would be a 20 minute wait. A full hour(!) later, after standing in the front entrance (no waiting area) we were seated. The wait staff were very friendly, but the food was not anything special. I enjoyed the miso soup, but the salmon sashimi almost tasted a bit chlorine-y..! However, my friends enjoyed their dishes, so maybe I just ordered wrong. I am willing to try eating here again, but will definitely make a reservation and order some different items.
Great food – husband got a order to go, place was packed – very small! Sushi looked amazing and just beautiful! Deeper in the city so if walking bundle up, it was cold! Hip place to eat – younger crowd!
I’ve been to Nubo twice now; once for lunch and once for dinner. The lunch bento box is massive, make sure you are hungry if you get it. Dinner at Nubo was great. The food is delicious and they have some really cool tapas dishes to try. The unagi nigiri is to die for. And the maguro eruption is so much fun while still being absolutely delicious. I love this place, especially for a nice evening out.
Food was fantastic! Got in right away and the teriyaki tacos were the best!! The plates were served one by one, so we were always eating something different. The sushi was fantastic for the price, and they have a huge variety if you’re out for new things. Definitely coming again!

I dont normally take photos of food but was tempted last evening, the three dishes we had at Nubo yesterday evening were beautifully presented. Wow.We had the beef Tanaka, the Hawaiian Lava roll and the Tuna trio dish.The food was all really good. Fresh and wonderfully flavoured.All the servers were wonderful, right from the warm greeting we recieved at the door coming in.The space is comfortablely laid out with a clean modern decor.The menu is quite large and varied and I saw other diners with all kinds of fabulously presented dishes.I thought the prices were fair considerinv the quality and presentation.Oh man. This place is pretty fantastic.
