Went here for lunch today. A bit pricier than some of the other sushi places in the area but my co-worker was treating us and he didn’t mind so we stayed. I did however order less because I didn’t want to spend too much. Normally I’d get at least 4 Saba nigiri with my lunch but at $4 each I decided to pass and go for a spicey tuna roll and the octopus salad. The salad was delicious. The octopus was perfect, large chunks and not too chewy in a delicious marinade (dressing) with a few chunks of cucumber and some sort of red herb which resembled dill but I’m not sure what it was. My roll was very good, big pieces of fish rough cut, a good level of spice (not over powering) and excellent rice. Service was quick but there weren’t many people in there at the time. Like I said it is a bit more pricey but the quality was very good. Also, sorry in advance to all the octopi (octopuses) of the sea, I want to be friends with your alien sub-species, but you are just too darned delicious to pass up

Came here on a chilly afternoon on Nov 29, 2018. Ive walked past this place a few times and I was actually looking for a different place today. Walked in on a whim to an empty restaurant. Shouldve been my first clue but I assumed it was because I arrived at a weird time. Was greeted by the chef and offered a seat and a menu. I like the premise of the restaurant: theres a few items on the menu where its all the chefs choice. I ordered the salmon sashimi and the ramen and nigiri. Sashimi was good, not very fatty and still tasty. Portion size was pretty small compared to other places Ive seen. Ramen was ok, noodles were more like the noodles you get with wontons. Nigiri was also ok, fish size was pretty small. My biggest complaint was that the soup was VERY salty. My second biggest complaint was the price. Total with taxes was $35. The quality of everything was good and as nice as the place was and as nice as the chef was, Im not sure it was worth it.
