Used to be our favourite coffee shop ?. Untill a year ago this was are favourite coffee and lunch stop in Victoria for many years but sadly it has changed owners and has gone downhill in the last 12 months . Illy coffee has been replaced by a mediocur brand and they have replaced the nice bistro tables on the patio with awfull cheap tables and very cheap plastic chairs which are hazardous to use , and no shade umbrellas on hot sunny days . We just do not go there anymore and instead frequent the new Starbucks for our coffee overlooking the harbour at the old steamship building . Victoria is sadly lacking in really good European style coffee shops

Disappointment at Paradio.. My husband and I have been going to Paradiso for several years and just loved it.But sadly it has changed hands and we are so disappointed,They now charge $1.50 to split the pasta but only give 1 slice of bread which is not what it use to be and the pasta was not great which is a huge disappointment.Service is not with a smile any longer, staff does not seem very happyThey have taken away the metal tables & chairs and replaced them with plastic on the patio which is in need of cleaning…it has lost its ambiance. The coffee is still good but we have lost our favourite lunch spot.Lee & Jill Niessen

Years of searching for a great cup of coffee in downtown victoria finally paid off today. Stepping into this hole in the wall establishment opened up a bright and colourful room with friendly staff and tasty treats. Great homemade gelato went amazingly with my Americans.

Bellissama!. This place is consistent and quality. The artwork is stunning and the decor is fresh. The coffee and food is top notched.Yes the prices are up there, but I’m always sated and satisfied. My favourite item there is the Thai Coconut Chicken soup. Goes so well with one of the panini sandwiches. There isn’t a lot of space inside and the tables outside are a little close together for any discrete conversations, but you do get a fabulous view of the harbour which is lovely to watch as you sip on one of their charming coffee drinks.

You’re in for a treat.. Paradiso’s is fantastic! Superb espresso, delicious pasta, incredible gelato, passionate owner and wonderful staff. What more could you ask for at a traditional Italian cafe.

DELICIOUS pasta. I just popped in to paradiso to grab something for lunch and was blown away by the delicious pasta they serve. Highly recommend. This is a coffee shop a step above the others. Staff are very friendly too.

So desperate for business they rip you off. I got charged $5 for crushed ice and lemon flavoured syrup. I just wanted a real lemonade. I was planning on bringing the family back for lunch.I will never return for any other item here.
