When you crave Vietnamese, you crave fresh, flavourful, slightly exotic spice served with nuance and subtlety. Sadly, this place has none of the above. For those of you who would claim that my standards are too high for Food Court fare, I call Bulls$%t. I’ve had plenty of hole in the wall places that are spectacular. You should just avoid this place.
Not very good at all. I’ve had lunch here twice in the past. The second time confirmed my disappointment in the measly meat portions in the pho, and flavorless broth. Heavy noodles too. I guess the vacuous service is standard here.I recently had supper there and ordered the large pho: 5 TINY pieces of meat. I kept looking thru the mess of noodles and sprouts for more. Same old bland broth, heavy noodles. This was less meat than in a small bowl at lunch time!We left and went down the street for more food.
Is this the one in International Food Court?. Then definitely a place to go when you are craving Pho for lunch. My sister and I both work in downtown and decided to drop by the food court for lunch. She wanted the turkey sandwich ( those who have been to this food court knows the deli owned by two Koreans with daily cooked whole turkey) and I wanted to try the Vietnamese restaurant. We liked the spring roll because it didnt contain any meat ( as least that’s what I thought, perhaps shrimp or fish paste of some sort?) . Anyway, it was deep fried fresh and delicious. I had P1. The House Special Pho with Flank, Rare Beef and Beef Balls. The soup was delicious and the flank was thin sliced without chewy texture like Vina @ Pacific Centre. My Pho Adventure downtown continues!
