*FALSE ADVERTISING – DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND READ THIS BEFORE ORDERING HERE, FOR A CUSTOM CAKE ORDER*Even after reading some of the horrible reviews, there were enough positive ones that I decided to give them a shot. I saw some nice/detailed work on their website and IG pages, so figured I would get what I was looking for, as it wasn’t anything too extravagant. Unfortunately, you’re only looking at their work in a glorified state and it is not consistent. When paying in upwards of $350 a cake, at the very least, you would expect the detail that you specified and was confirmed by the bakery could be done. I confirmed over multiple emails exactly what I wanted and even went into the store a couple days in advance to make sure all was ready to go. I was very thorough and my design/request was not super detailed and yet once I received the cake the tiny details i.e. a beard on the figurine (paid extra) was missing, the colours I had asked for were completely ignored, the label was very cheap looking (held together by tiny piece of rolled fondant) and overall not AT ALL what was confirmed at the bakery. Furthermore, there was absolute zero detail. From the looks of it, the baker ran out of time and just slapped it together quickly. To add insult to injury: I waited over an hour for the delivery driver to show up, with no notification advising this would be the case. It wasnt until I called in that they advised there was a delay because of the weather, however, were not apologetic at all. Lastly, I emailed the bakery advising I was unhappy/disappointed with the lack of any details and forwarded them all the confirmed email chains. I followed up 3x and nobody bothered to get back to me, yet when I was emailing enquiring about the order, I would get a reply within the day. VERY UNPROFRESSIONAL.The one star is only because the cake itself taste OK.
