Brutal phone service. I should have known while talking to the guy and hung up. The delivery took over an hour…I had to call and ask where our food was and when we finall got it, it was cold. Wings would have been good, pizza was blah.
It’s just a pizza place,. The pizza was alright.. if you want something in the stomach to fill. it will do.. for quality.. hmm.. you will find better in other places… You’re downtown.. choices are abundance.. come here… I’m sure you’ll wish you could of read this 1st.. good luck
Mediocre Pizza. Mediocre, overpriced pizza. Used to be good, but just terrible now. Dry (sometimes singed), bland, and really cheap on toppings (sometimes missing toppings). Never order during the weekdays as that is when the pizzas are unpalatable. Last time, the pizzas were as dry and thin as wafers, and they missed up our order. We no longer order from them: their loss at over $500+ a year. Now, we are trying Olympia Pizza: selection not as nice, but at least the pizzas are edible.
Very mediocre pizza, and ‘creative’ use of math in calculating our delivery bill. Do yourself a favour and call another pizza joint.
Not impressed with the service, we asked for vegetarian pizza and received it with meat on it. They did not make any effort to fix the problem once we confronted them about it. As well, the pizza was not too great, quite greasy.
Worst food ever. I’m not a picky eater and I couldn’t bring myself to eat it. Cheese bread was old, stale and rock hard. Pizza smelled like it had rotten sauce or something on it and had no aspect of appealing flavor. If we hadn’t been on our way out of town I could have sent it back. Never again.
Your basic cheap slice place. As a slice spot, Pizza Guys isn’t bad, just undistinguished. The crusts are white-flour, not much flavour, slightly cardboardish texture, minimal oil soak-through onto the paper plate. They seem like those pre-made types where the staff adds sauce and toppings. The sauce is on the sweet side, adequate ratio of it to the cheese and toppings (which are on the thin side, but not too skimpy.) My pepperoni slice was good because it had just come out of the oven, and the Hawaiian was ho-hum because it had been sitting under the warming lamp for a while. At $4.50 for two slices and a pop (including tax), which seems to be the current average price for that deal in Vancouver, Pizza Guys is just that, average. If you’re hungry and on that part of Howe Street it’s OK, but if I had to choose between Pizza Guys vs. Wood Fire, Uncle Fatih’s or several other slice places I frequent, it would be the latter choices.
