Friday night dinner. Initially we were thinking about going to spaghetti factory but then we walked past this small restaurant and it seemed like an authentic place (based on the hiring notice that’s written in Japanese) so we decided to give it a try instead. The restaurant was half full so we got to sit at the bar immediately. We ordered a small glass of cold sake (100ml for $8) to share because it is quite strong ~18% alcohol. The taste of the sake was a little sweet and actually quite refreshing because it’s cold. As for ramen, we ordered the Hachi house ramen (thin noodle) and the tonkotsu shoyu ramen (think noodle). The house ramen has a light chicken broth base with black garlic oil while the tonkotsu has pork based broth. We both thought the best part of the ramen we’re the pork chasiu because they were cooked for a long time the fatty part would just melt in the mouth. The bill total was around $32. Overall I think this place is ok but the portion was a bit small.
