Was not particularly impressed. While there were a large selection of meats, the vegetables left a lot to be desired. Jack of all trades, master of none. I had chili chicken, which was a little gritty, and the dhal and chick peas. Ironically, I felt it lacked spice–except for the chili chicken, which didn’t taste like much except for the large dried red chilis in it. There is much better Indian food in Vancouver.
went here for a lunch, wen for 2 meat + 2 vegie option, and went for the chicken with mushroom, butter chicken, lentils, and cabage, went for a large plate as well, and they also gave a rice crispies on the side as well. and the cost is just slighlty below $10.as for the taste i like the mushroom chicken as they have given me the mushroom which was served cut in halves and the chicken as whole and for the butter chicken the chicken is cubed, as for the lentils the sauce is awesome and the cabbage it taste great as well. and i love the rice crispies that they gave with the meal :)overall i would say this is a good quickbite in dt are inexpensive and the taste is definitely good, and luckily i went there before the long line up of rush lunch break of the people from around the area. i do recommend the place. mangkr.wordpress.com
Daddies got a new favourite lunch spot. Tasty Indian inspired hot foods, served cafeteria style. Big on taste and healthy I think with bean and veggie sides available.Fast service. Clean. For me an absolute favorite downtown for personal lunch.
I always get the Chicken Shawarma with everything on top. This dish is highly addictive 🙂
Really good food, very affordable, and very addicting. I just wish they’re open for dinner and on weekends as well. You can tell this place is good by the crazy long lineup @ lunch time. Friendly service, sometimes I come in two seconds before closing and they still serve me. Love this place!
Rude. On the menu, there were 2 options for sides to go with your meal: chutney and tzatziki. I wanted a side of both but this seemed to confuse the staff, so one of them asked the owner, who was at teh cash register, and who then proceeded to belittle her. She blushed with shame. When my order was done and I arrived at the cash register, the same guy then told me off for ordering a side at the counter instead of waiting until I got to the cash register. He was really very rude. The food itself was very good, but the whole experience left an unpleasant taste in my mouth.
Excellent meals for lunch. Vegetarian dishes are great and really well priced. Shwarma and curry us excellent too. Some mild and some very spicy dishes available. Overall, an excellent lunch!
