Thoroughly impressed with this hidden gem. I’ve driven by for many years but haven’t stepped foot into this cosy establishment until now. Service was there and just the right amount – our waiter was professional and friendly. Love the food and looking forward to come back and eat more of the menu.
This restaurant is trying to be a creative fine dining establishment, but the food doesn’t pass muster. All of the dishes our party of four tried were poor. Flavours are combined in such a way (and perhaps purposely) that sound impressive when described. However almost none of the flavours worked together in a cohesive dish. Pork belly was laughably tiny, gnocchi featured a dog’s breakfast of flavours that didn’t work together, the chicken very well may have been boiled and was overpowered by a an overly florally fragrant pure that added nothing to the dish, cod was salty, risotto was mush with no discernible pieces of rice.To top it off we were seated 45 minutes after our reservation time and we’re not served our main dishes until 1:40 after our reservation time. At the very least the first round of drinks while waiting 45 minutes for our reservation could have been complementary. Truly a very poor dining experience not worthy of the money spent. I’m completely at a loss with the other positive reviews. Save your money, go elsewhere.
The food was innovative and had amazing flavor! My chicken was cooked to perfection and the courses came in a timely manner. The presentation of each course was stunning, and I still cant stop thinking of the lavender panna cotta I had for dessert. Great location, intimate dining area, friendly staff and great service! Highly recommend!
Besides its cramped dining quarters, this restaurant blew us away. Service was wonderful and the ala carte menu was phenomenal. The presentation was creative and beautiful. My steak was cooked to perfection and all of our dishes came out in a timely manner. Highly recommend.
Excellent quality food but questionable service and business approach – all eaters aT your table have to order the chefs menu OR all have to order a la carte. A la carte menu is very small -5 items. Difficult to understand this concept when so many folks have dietary restrictions and strong preferences these days. Portion size of a la carte was fine but chefs menu was ridiculously small, even for a tasting menu.
The tasting menu was innovative, but the taste itself was only slightly above average. The same for the a la carte dish. Pork belly was good, but the ling cod was NOT fresh and overcooked.
The photography does not lie! The food was gorgeous & delicious. Service warm & friendly, including a brief quality check by the chef. All 2.5 of us were fully satisfied with our portions 🙂 Missed out on the octopus – which I overheard another diner mention was the best he EVER had. We were also sad that we were too full for dessert, next time… we will definitely return 🙂
