Still Seriously Good Coffee and Service. It’s been almost a year since my last review on the Blanshard and Fisgard Serious Coffee. Steve is still ready to greet customers by name and chat briefly as his baristas prepare the drinks quickly and always with a smile. Although I go mostly before work and at my breaks, I often pop in on the weekend to see a friendly face and have a great cup of coffee.Kudos to Steve and his staff!07 Nov, 2012Day after Day – Great Coffee, Friendly Service. In the past month, I have been there dozens of times, and they always treat me, and all their patrons, like valued customers. Kudos to Colin and Jaiwan, my Gangnam gang, for always brining a smile to my face along with a great cup of dark roast. But all the staff are great!Keep up the good work, Steve.05 Oct, 2012Seriously Good Coffee. I have been a fan/customer of the Blanshard Street Serious Coffee since it opened – some 5 owners back. I work in a large office complex nearby, and many of my co-workers and colleagues coffee break there on a regular basis. The owner and staff have always been pleasant, efficient and friendly, and I have never had to wait long for service – especially under the watch of Steve, the current proprietor.Also, I have had Serious cater numerous early morning or late afternoon functions associated with my work. All of my orders arrived on time, on budget and with no surprises. The prices are reasonable and they always take the time to make sure everything is in order beforehand.Keep up the good work, and I’ll be by in about half an hour for my afternoon java.
The heart of the people that work there right now come through to some amazing breakfast bagels. FYI…order the bagel you want…..perhaps the everything bagel.

Slow Service. Ordered an americano with one person ahead of me at about 7:10 am. Between 10 and 15 minutes later, I finally received the coffee. I’d hate to see the service during a busy time of day.
Lattes taste like coffee grounds per all 3 of us in the party. We are avoiding in the future.

My new downtown office. This is now my favourite coffee shop downtown, and a perfect place to meet clients. Free wireless internet (way before Seattlebucks offered it), local Vancouver Island company, nice staff and an involved owner who seems to truly enjoy meeting his guests, and nice location with free parking makes this place perfect. Why would anyone support non island owned coffee chains?
