Good: knowledgeable and friendly staff, well seasoned potatoes, perfect eggsBad: slow kitchen, dry cornbreadThis is a breakfast/brunch type of cafe. I came here for lunch on a Monday around 11:30. We didn’t have to wait for a table. The place had plenty of people eating there but I saw a few empty tables throughout our meal so the wait seems minimal on a weekday. The staff here was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. There was a large group nearby with a birthday and the staff engaged the restaurant into singing happy birthday with a slice of birthday cake. I have a strong dislike for onions. When I asked the waitress about the menu items, she was able to tell me which ingredients we could omit from which dish. The kitchen is on the slow side. It took over half an hr for us to receive our food. I would expect brunch places to prep the sides ahead of time and you cook the egg dishes to order. We finally decided on the forager omelette with potato scone and oven roasted hash browns. Also the garden city eggs benny with cornbread. They don’t skimp out on ingredients here. The omelette was stuffed with fresh mushrooms, avocado, spinach and brie. There was a tad bit too much pesto where it overwhelmed. The eggs here were cooked perfectly. The omelette was fluffy and the poached eggs were a perfect soft boiled. As for the sides, the cornbread was dry and the potato scone was bland. The oven roasted hashbrowns are the large chunks of roasted potato variety. It was very well seasoned with lots of rosemary.Overall, my experience here was positive. Items were a hit or miss. I am glad I ate here but probably wouldn’t return for awhile as there are more interesting places for me to eat nearby.

Great benny. Good : They have lots of selections for breakfast. I love their breakfast. Sandsich, burger, benny, soup and even simple toast-good quality but not expensive breakfast!Bad : Sunday morning, you may have to wait for more than an hour because of the looong wait list.

They try. Service and staff are great. hollandaise sauce is very good. That’s it. The food is bland and boring as well as over priced. The hash browns were the perfect dryness to need a drink of water to wash down every bite and the Yorkshire pudding was literally burnt . Creative ideas with the menu but the follow through with flavour is not there. The good is its a positive atmosphere. To many other better quality food places in the same price range to justify trying a third time.
