Had the lunch special chicken pad thai. Portion size wasn’t bad for a special. It was the perfect finishable amount. The spring roll on the side was a nice add-on. The noodles were more ‘wet’ than I’m used to and almost was a tomato-like base. It was topped with lots of peanuts which was awesome for me. Service was good. Servers were pleasant and friendly. However, I prefer Baan Thai’s version of the pad thai and their spring rolls taste better. The Siam ones were packed with vermicelli noodles but the flavour just didn’t quite hit it. I can also split Baan Thai’s lunch pad thai into two meals!
I really liked their Panaeng Curry. Their Pad Thai was also quite delicious. We went as a big group and the waitresses were friendly and patient with all of us.
Great food, friendly staff and quick service! Good portion size. Right downtown, convenient location. Definitely one of the best Thai restaurants in Vic!
Yummy food! My regular 2 thai places that are closer to my house have gone way downhill. So we came downtown to try the food here since its been years that we’ve been here. It was sooo flavourful and delicious. The pad thai was exactly how i love it, smaller noodles, tasty and just saucy enough. The tom yum soup had the perfect balance of flavours. We will definitely come back here even though it’s out of our way.
This cute Thai place is quite nondescript, located just off Wharf street on the lovely Inner Harbour. Though slightly outdated in design, this spot features excellent ambiance when you aren’t bombarded by the multitude of people using their phones, their bright little screens are distractingly white in the mellow lighting provided. The waitstaff were lovely yet quiet young ladies who were attentive enough but did the bare minimum. For the price of their menu items, their quality is fantastic, my Pad Thai Goong was the perfect level of spicy; enough to enjoy the other flavours but not underwhelming in the least. Though I wish the tofu was in larger pieces to enjoy more thoroughly, overall everything, from the chicken spring rolls to the deep fried banana were authentic and well executed. Siam Thai is a wonderful spot to enjoy a quality Thai meal here in wonderful Victoria.
Delicious! The best Thai food I’ve ever had. I ordered the fried rice and the cashew chicken delight. Both were outstanding. I will definitely be returning.
Horrible!!!!. I am still at the restaurant and it is getting ridiculous. We ordered one chicken satay, a shrimp soup and 2 shrimp pad thai. Waited an hour for the lukewarm soup and microwaved chicken satay.Another 35 minute for shrimp pad thai when i specifically asked for no peanuts and it came with peanuts.while the kitchen crank out take out orders instead of customers in house.Lack of management.Food is not that great. Everyone here is waiting for an hour for a dish. One of the worse restaurant ive been to for a long time.
