Drinks were okay, after the 20 minutes it took for the one server for a pack Saturday night to reach our tiny PITCH black little table in the corner… normally this wouldn’t bother me but when you have to use your phone light to read the menu…Food was okay, nothing special. Typical pub food.. again, took way too long to find the server again to ask for a side (which we were charged $1.50 for about 2 tablespoons of sour cream)..Then when we went to pay, the server asked, in front of our entire party why I didn’t tip her.. (honestly, on a bill with one beer on it..I wasn’t too concerned – especially since she had a full house and all by her lonesome, I’m sure she wasn’t missing the $2.00 I might have left if the experience left me inspired)..I’m hoping she didn’t do the same thing to other people that night because if I wasn’t as tired or as shocked as I was at her appalling unprofessionalism I might have just told her exactly what I thought of her service – very loudly.Will never be going back – it wasn’t worth it before, definitely not worth it now..
Good beer deal. Went here for beers, the deal was good for Victoria prices… server was nice music was good.

Came by today…Sunday…about 3 30 pm….open sign was on , sandwich board outside with dailly feature….says on Sunday the doors open at 3pm….frickin doors locked ??????….carried on down the street to browns and dropped a hundred dollar bill there…. Good Local Bar Except For One Unprofessional Bartender. Waking into smiths on a Monday evening i was informed with quiet hostility by a bartender whom i have never seem there before that i had never paid for my last drink on the previous Saturday night, i was basically accosted because the boss had gave out to him for me not paying for my last drink and instead of being nice and polite about it he acted in a totally unprofessional manner, basically a pretty boy who has no idea how to behave with customers in a proper working environment, which is a shame because all the other staff at Smiths are great at there job.
