Best cappuccino ever.
Genuinely good coffee shop. A really nice place to go. Great atmosphere, and the girl working was super genuine and sweet. The latte that I ordered was perfection, (and I am a latte nut!) Definitely recommend this place.
SLE is Stupendous!. Street Level Espresso is a fantastic, intimate and bright espresso/coffee joint nestled snugly on Fort St in Victoria, B.C. and proves to be a perfect haven to escape from the hustle and bustle of the day and unwind over a DELICIOUS beverage. Ken Gordon, the owner, is always sociable, smiling, generous and enthusiastic about his customers and helps make the setting unique, and inspiring.I will continue to frequent his special nook in the future and hope you do to!!!
Best pulled espresso in Vic.. Street Level Espresso is honest to their beliefs about what coffee should be. They will not compromise these beliefs to appeal to the average coffee shop customer. No requests, no sizes and not particularly friendly… but I didn’t care. The macchiato I ordered was perfect and served with fizzy water. If there had been a small chocolate/sable with it I would visit every day.
Great place to grab a coffee. Great place to hang out and have a coffee. the owner ken and his staff are really talented baristas and top-notch people. i grab an espresso here most days when i’m running around town.they’ve recently switched from hines to discovery which i think is for the best. this is one of the few places that does discovery beans justice.
Lovely lattes n’ kick ass coffee…. Wow – I’m absolutely glowing every time I leave street level…it makes me so happy to indulge in a yummy coffee. I live in cowichan bay and when i’m in victoria it’s always my first destination. All the reviews talk about the deliciously addictive java ken puts together (so true), and i don’t know what the jazz is with people talking about his harmless chitchat – in fact – when i’m there i feel like i’m being treated like a lady. Ken calls me love or dear when my husband’s there and when he isn’t so it’s not like there’s a sexual meaning to it. I think it brings a warm environment into a cold world, and maybe more people should treat each other kindly…anyways, don’t let what anyone says guide you – if you’re on a mission for the best coffee in town it’s in this nice lil nook on Fort.
Rock solid.. You know great coffee when you insist upon it black, but Street Level also deliver intricate chemistry when their espresso is melded with dairy and chocolate. Quite possibly the best Mocha in Canada, and definitely so in Victoria. The atmosphere is bustling and my only complaint might be for more seating – but at the same time there’s a unique environment created with a coffeestand where the point isn’t necessarily to sit around.People do sit around, however – and the clientele that frequents Street Level have built up around its owner through his previous gigs at other outstanding Victoria coffeehouses. This man has been around since the beginning of good coffee in this town, and continues to push the envelope. There’s a comment on here that borders on libelous with respect to the owner’s quirky and at times risque sense of humour. Sexual innuendo is reserved for those in his circle of personal friends, and 99% of the time it’s a mutual conversation. It’s unfortunate for those who overhear this comical banter if they don’t understand the context. If you want uptight political correctness, I recommend the sterile corporate digs of Starbucks or Artigiano. If you want great coffee without the pretense, Streetlevel Espresso is your best bet in Victoria.
