Worst Pub I’ve Ever Been To. This has to be the absolute worst restaurant I’ve ever ate at. My boyfriend and I went last night and both left feeling very disappointed. I ordered the cashew thai chicken stir fry and he ordered a simple cheese burger.. Pretty hard to screw that up right? (WRONG!) The burger came to our table slapped together served with what tasted like frozen fries. My stir fry had absolutely zero flavour to it and the cashews were so finely chopped to the point that you couldn’t even see them in the bowl. My boyfriend also ordered the swans root beer and it was watery and flat. Overall it was just a tasteless, expensive meal. We both will never go back there again.
My 4 coworkers went for lunch on May 7. It wasn’t busy at all but it took the first the 1 harried waitress 45 min to get us a water, take our order and deliver it. This was the only time we saw her. We had to go up to the bar and retrieve a water pitcher to refresh our glasses during this time. After serving us, she didn’t stop by to check on anything we needed. We had to hail her down to deliver our bills, and then told me she was sorry she forgot my soup in my order. Then, she disappeared for another 10 minutes, so as we were on an extended work lunch hour, we went up to the bar to pay our bills so we could get out of there. I wanted my unfinished lunch wrapped up, as did my coworker, but she only heard one of us. She ran back to the kitchen and gave us a container and we had to go back to the table and package the meal ourselves. Meanwhile, the bartender, busser, and another hotel staffer were standing there idle. Sorry for not tipping, and this is the first time I’ve never tipped, ever. Perhaps they are better staffed for the after work bar scene. We will not go back there for lunch!
Absolute worst service of my life, didn’t get us drinks for 30 mins and when they finally did they were wrong. Sat there for almost two hours to find out they didn’t out our order in at all. I would never ever go back so not recommend going there AT ALL!!
Will not return. Was served a salad with moldy tomatoes…. The staff replaced it, but felt ill the next day. Seems like zero food safety and quality control from the Kitchen. Will never return.
Can’t keep the bills strait. Swans is terrible, we went and had a memorably terrible night. One of our friends was accused of not paying his bill, he did, we are local servers and regulars in Victoria. The bill he was asked to pay after paying his own was clearly the entire table. which makes no sense. we asked to talk to managment that’s when things got worse. they said (lying) that they video taped us not paying them.eventually the cops came and took his money. they never showed us the video and really ruined the casual night we where having in the natoruisly slow off season. The hole thing was dumb, none of us pain on going back.
The Music & Art make it.. This place has a great atmosphere in the evening- nice dance floor. The live bands that play pretty much make it awesome!The staff are okay…Not as cheerful as you would think since the music is so up-beat.. The bartenders are NOT friendly AT ALL which I think is important for a place like this…
The worst service any where!!. Came here with my family, my parents and my husbands grandma and the arrive was so bad, that they brought our coffees but brought the cream and sugar came 10 minutes later, then to take our order took them 15 later and my mom ordered her food without any green peppers and no onions then what comes in her plate! Yep you guessed it. And the. Brought our good with no ketchup no hot sauce and for them to refill our coffees to us telling them 3 times. Just all on all bad!!
