Worst place I have ever eaten in my life. Four of us dined here and ordered the spaghetti, the chicken Parmesan, quiche, Caesar salad and nachos. The nachos were stale with the tiniest sprinkle of cheese and salsa from a can. The rest of the food was so bad we couldn’t eat more than a bite of it. Our waitress barely spoke any English, of course I’m sure she doesn’t make the food so it’s not her fault. But when we confronted the manager about our bill he refused to take off any of the food, and instead gave us $15 off the beer. I would recommend never eating here ever.
Good food at a good price. I had the Alfredo pasta. I’m a bit of a fuss-budget when it comes to Alfredo, and this one did not disappoint. It came with a nicely dressed side salad and a goodly slice of focaccia. The current owner/staff are doing a fine job. I will be back.
Great cafe/bar. Went with a couple friends after work and had a great time. Great service, great music, great atmosphere and cheap food and drinks. Ideal for college and international students.
Tafs is Tops!. I have been frequenting Tafs Cafe in Vancouver for at least 10 years now.I can attest that both their food and service have maintained a consistently high standard the whole time! Their menu is simple (in a good way of course!) but I have tested pretty well everything, and cannot find fault in any selection so far….except I was sad to see their pecan pie disappear! With ice cream it was to die for!Soups are always homemade, salads are fresh, never overly dressed, pastas are well balanced and never heavy.Wine selection is narrow but totally acceptable BC vintage – and for the price, a steal at $5 a glass!(red or white) You can’t go wrong with the ambience either – surrounded by on-going art exhibits (so Vancouver, yeah!) and great variety of styles of music (unlike many chain restaurants that churn out the same style music hour after hour that tires the ear after 10 minutes!!!)Thanks to these 2 brother owners, who have spent over 20 years of love and devotion to the Granville Street community in great service and love of food – a place you can always feel at home; a place to hang your hat sunshine or winter rain – Taf’s always makes you feel welcome…..you just can’t go wrong here!
