Enjoyed my first evening in Victoria at this place, great food, nice and friendly staff ! The suggestions given by the staff were really worth. It has amazing views to top it off. Definitely worth try.
Pros: Tuna Albacore slider – Tuna is nicely doneStaff friendly and helpfulBuck-a-Schuck $1 oysters Changes:Calamari was dry and chewy. I don’t enjoy chewing rubber bands. All the vegetables are pickled, so if you’re not a fan, you might not be thrilled
False Advertising!4 of us (locals) have been waiting until you start the Winter Features special again. 1 month ago (Sat, Nov 14), we saw on the homepage of your website a link to the promotions/sales surf + turf menu. Here it said the current promotion was $26.98 (Winter Feature) so we went down to The Docks. (screenshot of promotion with date stamp available)We received the physical menu which said it was the normal $40 price. We asked about this a couple times and it was just shrugged off. Then someone (manager?) came out and offered 15% off.To avoid any further embarrassment & more moments of silence between me and the waiter, we just ordered.I wanted to go onto the review sites like Yelp but thought I’d write them directly first. Since they never responded, here I am, starting here.If your menu (which the public can find very easily) says a certain price, the restaurant should honor this. It doesn’t matter if it’s on the home page of your website or on the physical menu. Otherwise, it is indeed false advertising. 15% was a good gesture but what would have kept us a loyal and happy customers was for you to just apologize for the misunderstanding and at the very least, offer the meal at the advertised price of $26.
Enjoyed dinner! Rob (our server) was next level good and incredibly genuine. View was great, food good (we had fish n chips) so difficult to complain. Would go back…but would call ahead to see if Rob was working.
Great. Been there twice and both times saw mice in the restaurant. Can’t figure out what the Victoria health code is on rodent infestation but that doesn’t seem to bother anybody here.
Way Over Priced. The food here does not worth the price you paid. It is mediocre quality (both the quality of the food itself and of the cooking) but the price is so much higher. For the price you paid here you can get so much better food in a decent restaurant. It is clear that they are aiming for tourists whom they know that there would be little chance for returned customers. I ordered a seafood steampot and the potato came barely cooked. There is nothing special about the broth and is over salted. It says that kids menu is free on Sunday and we were still charged for it if we didn’t tell the server about it. The service was not too bad.
Over priced. Had 2 steam pots which were look warm potatoes were raw in them more veggies than sea food. First time tried this place won’t be back way over priced for what you get
