I had dinner here recently with a friend & was impressed with the quality of the meal. It may present as a casual gastropub, but that doesn’t mean the menu or quality of ingredients is run of the mill. I had an absolutely delicious dish of scallops & pork. The scallops were cooked beautifully, as was the pork belly. It was nicely presented too. My guest & I indulged & had the sticky toffee pudding for desert & it was excellent. The service was friendly & attentive. I will go back.

WOWShe hand wrote a menu after checking with the kitchen. Had a glass of bacon, a flight of beers, then a great burger cooked to order. YESThe atmosphere is rich and full of mahogany and oak. Good food and good service. We will be back.
Ok, so I’ll start with the negatives. I stood at the door waiting for a few minutes hoping that someone would acknowledge my presence, and no one ever did. I eventually gave up and walked to the bar area to the person standing there and asked if the rest of my group had arrived yet. I was directed to the table and began to look at the menu. While the service was never rude, it was really lacking. We were a group of 9 people and after the first drinks and snacks came out, no one ever came back to check on us. I eventually had to get up and tell someone at the bar that we wanted to order meals. From there, things got better food-wise. The food arrived quickly and everyone liked what they ordered. My beer & cheese sausages and mashed potatoes were incredible. But then more service problems. I had to ask for a take-out container and the young waiter, while very sweet, was too busy doing his hair in the mirror behind us and forgot to bring it to me. I had to go back to the kitchen and ask the cook for it. He was very apologetic and got my plate to pack up right away. Overall, I would go back, but I hope they do something about their service…it wasn’t great.
Just had an wonderful meal. The portion was generous and the service was fast and courteous and the atmosphere warm and friendly. Outstanding.
Really amazing service and fabulous food! I had trouble finishing mine haha so full!!!! It was really great. Had an awesome time!
Sat at the bar – great service and amazing beer selection! We will definitely be back.
