One of those nights. 10 min wait with no reservations Great table and view. Nathan was on his game. Great food and wine knowledge and just the right amount of chit chat. My Filet mignon was perfect. Ria had the bacon wrapped chicken and as good as it was couldn’t it it all. We will delefinately go back. Timing is everything

This one really pisses me off.I made reservations a week prior so I could have a nice window seat. Upon arrival, one host recommended to the other host to put us in the downstairs over flow area. I insisted we be sat upstairs, but they assured me they were booked. I walked upstairs, seen my window seat empty, went to the floor manager and insisted to be sat there. After he was slightly rude and I was slightly assertive, we were properly seated. Our waiter was a bit of a smart ass, my plate was cracked and $150 does not buy much seafood. The steak was good however. I left a $20 tip which did not impress our waiter, who, in my mind, was lucky to get anything.Besides the over priced seafood, the service here is terrible.I will not go back to this location.

First time I went to this Keg location the staff were friendly and the frozen Margaritas were great. That’s before I got the food. I ordered the filet mignon the 10 oz well done and wrapped with applewood bacon it was like beef jerky and no sign of applewood bacon and pea pods that tasted like someone forgot to cook them tasted like I picked them off the plant. For the cheaper item on the plate aka fries I’ve never seen so little ever. I can see what people mean by the Keg being a hit or miss type of restaurant.

Pretty bad tonight. I’ll preface this by saying I have eaten at The Keg many many times with many many great experiences. Typically if the experience is not so great then the Keg has been good about setting it right. Tonight not so. Started with shrimp cocktail. Smelled a little funky but whatever. Passable and we ate it. Ceasar salad came for us. Not split in the kitchen but whatever. Starting to wonder about our server though. Then our steaks came. Neither were medium rare. Again whatever but we sat with them for about 10 minutes before the server came back to check. When we sent them back the server, well, let’s just say did not handle it all that well. Its not like I over cooked them or left them under the heat lamp waayyy too long . I can understand the kitchen issue but the service on this quiet night, hmmmmmm….. Unlikely we will be back. In Victoria anywho.

Nice vibe, nice food. Went to Keg with some friends. Very accomodating staff and friendly. Food was prepared as ordered. Great View of harbour..All in all, a nice experience.

Mainly great. We had fabulous appetizers, but what happened to those lovely little loaves of sourdough bread to go with the escargots? Our entre of prime rib (rare, as requested) and lobster was delicious. But beware of the ridiculous horseradish!!! It is completely unpalatable. My husband and I enjoy spicy, but one tiny morsel of that horseradish had us both gasping for air. We ordered a side of sour cream and made ourselves a tasty horseradish dip…this would be a much better option for them to do.

…WTH?. Dinner was fine, but EXTREMELY expensive (not all that suprising, but still). My issue is that when I asked for my leftover food to be packed up, the waitress apparently didn’t think that I felt like the $30 I spent on food should include my unfinished sides. All I got when I opened the package at home later was 1/4 of a steak, none of the other food that collectively took up ~50% of my plate. I’ve never had a waitress who couldn’t figure out how to do doggie bags for a $12 dinner…how can it somehow be harder for a $30 one?
