Come here if you like fresh food and great service. The owner treats every customer like family. The quality of the ingredients here are simply top notch. The toppings are unlimited so load up on all your nutrients and leave feeling full and fresh.

I would have loved to like this restaurant because of my love for poke and it’s vicinity to my home. I found the fish to seem old, the sauce to be bland and the toppings to be rather flavourless. I have been here 3 times, and each time it has been a rather bland lunch. I do appreciate their space and the healthy aspect of the food but for 15$ a bowl, I would expect to enjoy the meal a bit more. I should mention, the staff is friendly and they never rush you to order.

I figured that it was about time that I get on the bandwagon since the poke bowl storm swooped across the Vancouver food scene. I liked that there were so many options for bases here! I mean you get to choose from white rice, mixed greens, zoodles and purple rice! I couldn’t decide between the zoodles or purple grain but I decided to go with the purple grain since I was feeling hungry that day. They also have lots of protein options which was super awesome. Of course, I had to go for the sashimi type options so naturally, I went with the ahi tuna and spicy baby scallops. Last but not least, I got mine topped with all sorts of wonderful toppings like green onion, red radish, beets, pineapple, watermelon, mango and pickled ginger 🙂 My favorite part about poke bowl was the variety of options! Definitely worth the visit! eatmunchlove.com

Couple things that I didn’t enjoy too much here. I felt that the rice was very dry, so I brought down the whole bowl quite a bit. We ordered the pre created bowls and the ingredients in there felt a little weird. It included watermelon… different is good! But this one just didn’t hit it for me. We also got to try some drinks. The pineapple drink was really underwhelming, lacked the flavour. Second drink was macadamia milk tea. I think what three me off was how it wasn’t sweet. But I wasn’t exactly sure what I was expecting so that might just be me! The real terrible thing about the drink though, was the chunks of nuts that kept coming up in my straw. I had to chew with every sip.

Fresh food. Protein well seasoned and tasty. Regular size good enough for lunch or big snack. Well decorated and good ambiance. A bit pricy at $12.95 for a regular size but a lot of that can be attributed to the fish cost.

I tried one of three pre-made poke combinations, the pineapple express bowl. It was by far the worst I’ve had in Van, the flavors didn’t go together at all, the seafood was near room temperature and the serving size was terribly small. If you insist on coming here I’d suggest making your own bowl as they do have alot of toppings to pick from.

First time trying Pok in Vancouver. I’ve perviously tried it in Hawaii, where I quite enjoyed it. The Poke Shop lets you customize your own poke bowl with a base, two or three proteins, sauce and a wide variety of toppings. My favourite proteins were the ahi tuna and spicy albacore tuna. My favourite toppings to get were the mango and pineapple, which went great with the tuna. This combo gave a great Hawaiian flavour. Only problem I have with this place is that is a bit pricey and left me a little hungry afterwards. Definitely will go around Vancouver to try the other poke places.
