Great milkshakes. Gross veggie burger.
Poor wait staff for having to work understaffed. They still did a great job and didn’t even look pissed that management is too cheap to have 1-2 more people working. Why do restraints do that? It hurts your bottom dollar when people have to wait to be seated vs. cheating out on staff. As for the food, it’s the same as any other White Spot.
Fish and chips. Tried the Whitespot for the first time last week and it will be the last. Had the fish and chip special. Halibut was way over cooked, fries were cold. Extra cost for a poor salad was a rip off. Burger was ok. Waitress said she would get the manager but we never ever saw him! So much for customer service.
I am a customer at White Spot and I have only praises for the food and the service. However, this particular location gave me a bad experience. Order wasn’t right, beverages were not great and service in general was lousy. The manager responded by giving us the meals for free but damage was done. Probably will not visit this particular location in the future.
Okay!. Visited for the first time a couple days ago. Tried the fish and chips, which were surprisingly good! My fiance had the Truffled Mushroom Burger special and thought it was decent as well. All in all, it was a good meal. Price, service, and cleanliness were all great.Went again today for dnner, and brought more people. Unfortunately the meal wasn’t as good this time. I tried the Chicken Pot Pie, but found it runny and flavourless. The pastry was very good, but that’s about all the dish had to recommend itself. Filled up on the bottomless fries instead. Our dinner guests tried the fish and chips (over cooked) and the fettucini alfredo (barely any sauce) and weren’t impressed either. My fiance, on the other hand, scored again with another delicious burger, a yummy looking caesar salad and a strawberry pie. The food is reasonably priced, and the service is great, but flavour is definitely inconsistent. Worth a try if you’re looking for something cheap and easy, though.
My advice is to come here before you’re hungry, that way you’ll get your food just as you begin to get hungry…because they’re so slow.
It is a White Spot. I like White Spot because of the nostalgia. I like this location in particular because it’s close to home. The food is okay, it’s on/off. But somehow I always seem to go when the fam is in town. And I don’t intend to stop.
