On my fifth visit in six months. Love the food. Service has been good enough. Converted a friend. High in authenticity. Hard to find in this burg.
Avoid!. Their food is not fresh at all, no wonder I was the only customer there during the lunch rush hour. Think THREE times before you enter the door!!!
Poor. Was good when they first opened but has gone downhill.. Scant amount of chicken and pork..very dry
Very tasty if you order from the authentic chinese items. We just enjoyed a very authentic northern chinese homestyle dinner…..although we noticed there are some very westernized dishes catering to the customers who prefer blander food. For example, if you order any of the fried rice, chow mein dishes, or worse yet, the hamburger, I imagine it would be like any other western /chinese dish. The waitresses , all very pleasant and trying hard, are still working on their english, but ask them for authentic, and they will give you some good suggestions, for example1) homemade potstickers2) stewed mushroom and shanghai bok choi3) under appetizers, the chili noodle 4) chili oil fish5) beef tongue appetizerI have been encouraging them to offer more upscale specialty dishes, but their price point doesn’t seem to allow this. The chef says he will do special dishes, and he clearly is very capable, so we might do our chinese new year’s dinner there with some special requests.
Good service and food, like their lunch special and wonton soup, super yummy!
It’s really a traditional Chinese restaurant, which is the best Chinese restaurant I have ever been in Victoria. The food is delicious and tasty. Totally deserved to try!
Possibly the worst chinese food we have ever had. Tasteless and overcooked. Staff made great efforts to correct the uncorrectable.
