People seem to either hate or love this place so I had to check it out. Me? I fell in love as soon as I went inside and saw that tall red staircase with that beautiful looming chandelier. Yes, perhaps it is a little musty with all that partying history but that is not a reason not to go to The Emerald Supper Club. Rarely will you come across a place that is so retro, so cool. The service was a little cool and so was my food, however. My BBQ Pork Waffle Fry Poutine was barely warm so I had to wolf it down before The Hard Rock Miners Singalong began. I totally loved the goat cheese dip with caramelized onions, super tasty and the homemade potato chips were super crisp. I can see why most people talk about the waffle fries. This place knows how to deep fry.Despite having some issues with the food, the music venue was fantastic (call ahead to make reservations if you want to be sure to see the band) and the setting so much fun. I don’t think I have ever been to quite a fantastically retro place before. I loved every second of it and can’t wait to go back. suziethefoodie.com

Awesome, fun place with very nice staff and excellent bourbon sours! Will be back for their half price cocktail Tuesdays! Only downside is the very bad smell of bathroom through the place…. eek

Great concept, amazing drinks and a unique setting.. that’s where the fun stops.HORRIBLE service from surly and inattentive servers distracts from what could be an unforgettable experience.Have been here three times, on all occasions we’ve waited over 90mins for food and had to flag down sometime to get a drink. Worse still they came back minutes later to ask again what we ordered – this happened on two occasions. The drinks are not cheap and the staff act like you a problem. Save your money and give it to a restaurant that treats you like a customer and not a problem.

Go for the quirky cocktails but don’t expect to get them quickly. Service was incredibly slow. At one point we could see our drinks sitting on the bar top waiting for the server who was chatting with a coworker. By the time the drinks got to us they were warm. The food is very good. Fun, quirky menu. Order the cauliflower bites, so good! The place has a fun, vintage vibe just needs to work on customer service.

Super funky location, interesting people. They serve a good old fashioned and veggie chow mein. The retro swanky atmosphere and experimental performances draw an eclectic crowd.

This buffet breakfast was the biggest rip. There was only 1 type of egg available and that was if you were willing to wait a good fifteen minutes in line. What real buffet doesn’t at least have a warmer full of scrambled eggs? For a few dollars more we could have enjoyed a luxurious casino buffet or a decent breakfast elsewhere. To top it off, they workers seem surprised that 14 people needed to pay separately. Are you kidding me. Why would 1 person be paying for a table of 14 people. And for 18% gratuity, we shouldn’t have had any talk back about paying separately. All the service we got for that 18% was empty bottles of water at our table and untimely service when it came to clearing the plates. #Fail #Wasteofmoney #getreal #lazyservers #nevercomingback #everyone at work will hear about this

Wait until it warms up a bit….. The most generous review I can honestly give of this place is maybe two and a half stars out of five. That’s one star for the decor and the rest for the positive attitude of most of the staff, who seem intent on making this place worthwhile. Perhaps someday it will be, but it’s not there yet.The place has all the warmth of a Siberian gulag with chandeliers. The owners made an effort to decorate in attempted Rat Pack, Vegas theme. Unfortunately, rather than Frank Sinatra, you’re more likely to see bad boy wannabes and trendy girlfriends, sitting around like they’re waiting for something exciting to happen. You’d think that they could arrange some sort of entertainment, or something for those poor barflies to stare at besides each other or the walls. The bartender seemed unaware of even the most basic cocktail that wasn’t on his list. However, they all seemed mighty proud of their over-embellished, 1980s-style Caesar. The food was greasy and sub-par to most pub food. Eat before you go.That and the overall frigid climate of the place gives it no more than a ‘meh’. Come on, people – why couldn’t you skip out on a chandelier and just get a couple base heaters from Walmart? At least the ice in your drinks won’t melt.Again, based on the attitude of most of the staff, I might visit again for a follow up review. The place hints at promise, but needs time.
