I have been here a few times and the first few times were great, but this last time I ordered their strip loin with lafleur, my steak was swimming. I sent it back and they drained the sauce, and my steak was extremely thin and overcooked (I ordered a medium rare). The server was extremely understanding and attentive and they made me a new steak (left my soaked potatoes and lafleur topping). When my steak was returned it was blue. I tried to get through it but couldn’t as it was that raw (and I love a red steak). I sent I back again and they cooked it just a little more for me. I don’t think I’ll be ordering their steak there again until they get thicker cuts (which they used to have!) I give this place a neutral rating because their blackened snapper is perfect, and their Philly Cheese Steak is great. Come on JJ’s, get some better steaks!!! Ooo and I miss The Whitness cocktail!
Great burger (chicken too) plates. Love the crab dip with pita pieces. Service is good. Prices are reasonable for supper but I find them a bit high for lunch. Great atmosphere with enough space between tables to talk comfortably. Enough variety on menu to cover pretty much any taste.
Will come back!! Great place.. The Taco Salad was absolutely to die for– I highly recommend it. We will travel and hour from Victoria to get that dish.
Unhappy. Was not happy with the service or meal last night. Our vegetables were raw and cold. We were not told about your specials. Asked for more water did not happen. More restaurants in Duncan do much better. Don’t think we will return and will let others know.
Food disgusitng going down hill. Blackened snapper was dry and gross vegetables were grilled and cold the whole meal was very unappealing, on the upside waitress was awesome unfortunatlly we won’t be back food was horrible they are going down hill.
Amazing! Best gluten free pizza I’ve had at a restaurant! Highly recommend the chicken club.
Went on Feb 15 for my mother’s 80th birthday party….what a disaster! Our reservation was for 6pm. We were all there on time but it was 7:50 before we ate. The service was slow and we didn’t know why because the food ws barely cooked when we did finally get it! The vegetables were barely introduced to the heart, the chicken was dried out abd flavourless, the ribs were cold and all fat, the mashed potatoes tepid. Those in our party that ordered filet said it was good but there veggies were terrible. The desserts were good when we finally got them but the coffee came 15 minutes later. I would NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone!
