EDIT: I came here again and had a much better experience. i had a sushi roll tuna tatak, that wasn’t on the menu but was incredible, you have to try it. that said, the other rolls were still a bit plain, i wish they would fancy them up just a tiny bit 🙂 We came here because it was recommended and I was slightly disappointed. The service was not great and I found the atmosphere to be rather stale. The sushi was slightly on the higher side so I was expecting it to be great… It wasn’t. It was pretty average really.I find sushi house to be much better!
Dirty Rip Off. Overpriced mediocrity at best. Place always looks dirty inside, maybe get some new paint on the walls or something.. me no like
Best sushi on the island by far. Friends from from out of town try it and agree. The prices are higher due to fresh larger pieces of seafood and less rice per roll. Hot and sour soup with chicken is the best I’ve ever had anywhere. If you’re not aiming for traditional sushi, be sure to ask about special rolls they don’t offer on the menu. This place is popular among locals and out of town regulars for a reason.
Wow. I don’t even know where to start. Probably the worst value for sushi I have ever had. The gomae was awful and the sauce was basically liquid. The rainbow roll was hardly well presented. Over $30 for something extremely disappointing. I was through Duncan on business, and based on the last few reviews I thought I would try this restaurant. Never again. So sad. To add insult to injury, there is no skipping the tip option when you pay by card. The girl who served me was nice, so I hope the tip goes to her.
Best on the island. I would eat here every day if me wife would let me. We had guests from Vancouver and they were blown away. Highly recommended.
We enjoy this restaurant very much the service is great and we love the recommendations from the owner
I love them the most, but they are never ever ever open when I want to go….ever….one more sushi here we come again!
