I just returned home from the worst sushi lunch I can remember! The occasionwas our eldest daughter’s 20th birthday and we all love sushi. This being our second visit to Sushi House we remembered the nicely put together dining room with quality tables and chairs and attractive table settings. That is where the good ended for us!!1. The table where I sat was thick with sticky partially driedyuk from the previous customers.2. The server had no more idea about sushi then fly to the moon.3. When all our water glasses were empty, teapot empty, no plates provided as we were sharing, and the wasabi and ginger almost non-existentwe asked our server if we could get the above. Reply; MMHMM!4. The maki was poorly rolled and fell apart when trying to eat them.5. The rice was flavourless.6. Any other service we received was equally as disappointing. We were one of two tables in the restaurant so our service should have been adequateand the manager should have picked up on our displeasure. A lot of Cowichan Valley residents have little or no knowledge of Sushi and therefore cannot differentiate between good or bad Sushi. If this restaurant was on the lower mainland it would have had to close a long time ago. A bitter disappointment to say the least!!
