This cozy restaurant has the best food – whether it is the eggs and whole grain toast or the ‘health nut’ or their delicious bake goods. The staff are friendly – and I love the ‘swauck’ of the rubber chicken that indicates that your ‘order’ is up and the staff will soon deliver it.Nice atmosphere – all gather there – very young, quite old and all in between are comfortableGreat place!
Tried the chicken breast sandwich after hiking. It was awesome and the staff was super nice. The place was also cute and just minutes away from the beach.
This place is very comforting and homey. It’s a great place to grab comfort food style breakfast or lunch. The servers are usually very friendly as well. I’ll often just step in to get some of their delicious baked goods as well!
We drove to beautiful West Van and stopped for lunch at the first place we saw after we parked in Dundarvae Village. The Bakehouse in Dundarave exceeded our expectations.Amber had a salad and I had mulligawtny soup-which I love and rarely find, plus their spinach/cheese omelette. All the dishes were good as well as their grain toast, in a nice casual atmosphere.
Went for breakfast a couple times while in West Van. The breads are amazing. The multigrain is to die for and the turkey sausage with breakfast is a must.
Excellent. Cold March 1. 2015. Friendly and warm atmosphere and very clean. Many padded chairs and comfortable space around table. Supper flaky and flavourful pies. Try the sour cherry warmed up and with vanilla ice cream. Mmh, mmh. Regular coffee, self serve cream and sugar. Cutlery is not plastic. Reasonable price. Two coffees and two pies $ 14.49. We are seniors and enjoyed the calm, gentle background noise.
A social centre. A group of us have coffee there each Thursday. It is true the coffee isn’t great but the ambiance is wonderful- bright, warm, and most welcoming. There’s lots of seating and the baking is excellent, and this includes their breads. I’m hoping they’ll spring for a better coffee machine in 2014.
