On March 19, 2016 Saturday we were celebrating my girlfriends birthday at Rodos Kouzina Mediterranean Grille in Port Moody, BC. We were a larger group 13 adults and 10 kids. Reservation was made prior to celebration date and managers were aware that were coming with kids. I went there with 2 kids (4.5 & 1.5 y old) and my husband. At the moment we entered the doors my son cheerfully approached other kids, and I decided to take off our jackets and enjoy the evening. The moment I set on the chair an owner and his wife approached me at my sit and in very rude way asked to shut my childs mouth. I was shocked, my girlfriend Irina who set in front of me was shocked too and said he is 1.5y old and he just expressed his emotions that way. I said that this was not the right way to talk to a customer and asked to address any other issued in polite way and use proper language. (The whole conversation was taken place in Russian language). They turned their back and did not say a word. Our kids were sitting at the separate table and were coloring some pictures and some of them were watching Ipads. My daughter came to me 10-15 mins later she said she is scared of the lady in black and glasses (turns out owners wife) because she said we will put kids in the cage and put a tape over their mouth if they wont shut up! And a few minutes later she brought a big tape and started threaten our kids saying she will tape them. This was the last drop. We tried to talk to them but they just ignored our messages. We packed the food and left. We paid the bill except the 15% gratitude that was included. Horrible experience for our kids. My daughter is scared that old lady will come and tape her mouth any moment. They never apologized or say anything about whole situation. This is unacceptable behavior of the restaurant owners. No one is allowed to talk to our kids in this manner, scare or threaten them.

Totally not children friendly place! Went there this saturday to a birthday party. The owners knew that there will be children, as they did prepare a separate table for them. All the kids were around 3-6 years. Only one boy is 18 months. This 18 months boy yelled twice bc. of excitement, when saw the other kids. The owner came to the mother and said SHUT UP YOUR CHILD! I was shocked! The way he chooses to say it, is very rude and not acceptable. Than the children started to complain to us, saying that a lady said she will place them in the cage, and will seal their mouth!!! We did not see her saying that, but we saw the owner’s wife threatened children by showing them a roll of type. We left that place immediately.

A Great Surprise! Excellent on all counts. I went to the restaurant with 14 women on Saturday to celebrate two birthdays. Service was friendly and attentive from the start to the end. The tsaziki was fabulous, nice & garlicky! The roast lamb had great flavour with herbs on it. The chocolate cake/mousse was rich and decadent! On Fridays & Saturdays, Frankie, a one man band, sings oldies with a great voice and music back-up. We danced on their small but adequate dance floor the whole night! No need to go to the gym! Atmosphere and decor are pretty, comfy, with Mediterranean touches. All kinds of people there! We shared the dance floor with two diehard dancer boys about 9 years old.If I’m out in Pt. Moody again, I’d go back for sure!

Food and service is fantastic, great ambience and Frankie’s golden tones on the weekend is the reincarnation of many of our late crooners.

We live the area for almost 2 years and we dine at Rodos Kouzina regularly. The service is always very friendly and food is great. Michael is a great host and the place us very cozy. Weekends are especially fun as there is live music and a very chilled out atmosphere. I highly recommend thus place whether for lunch or dinner you’ll have a great experience.

In bad need of upgrade. We live close to Rodos and the convenience of walking here and enjoying a couple of glasses of wine has its merits but when we went on the weekend we might never go back. The food was fine but the ambience and service were terrible. It was a warm night and wanted to open a window for some fresh air but a smoker on the front deck made us close it and she was to close to the front door as well. It was not busy and a group of seven people sat down and were ignored to the point that they left. Our server was slow and and disorganized but polite. The speakers sounde like a mobile phone distorting and the music mix was undiscernable. When it came to pay with a credit card we had to line up at an archaic wired machine at the bar. An experience that does not need to happen these days. I have also stopped getting pizza at the take out as they are nor consistent in the recipies and you never know if your getting a good pizza or a bad one. We won’t be back until we here of positive changes to this local restaurant.

Deliciously comfortable. Everything is great about this traditional Greek place – good service (by Sue especially), super fresh salad, delicious lamb skewers. The kids went crazy over the pizzas! The surroundings reinforce the family theme and makes the diners feel at home.
