This is the worst spicy Chinese restaurant you can find in the greater Vancouver area, simply because the food is not authentic and waitress is rude and pushy. You might be going to this restaurant because there are no other spicy Chinese restaurant in town, my suggestion is not to try anything you are not sure of, drive 25 minutes to richmond to taste the real Chinese cuisine of your choice. not only the food is terrible, their poor service will make your experience miserable.
Amazing!. This was by far the best Chinese food i’ve ever had! Highly recommended!!
The ONLY genuine Chinese restaurant in South Surrey/White Rock area. Spicy Sichuan cuisine mainly, but authentic as you were in China.
Take out ok, we won’t eat in there again.. We had ordered take out a few times and thought it much better than other local Chinese restaurants we’ve tried. We thought we’d go there with our daughter for dinner tonight. We only ordered some sweet & sour pork, ginger beef, the fried green beans, chicken chow mein and 3 spring rolls. the spring rolls were right out of the deep fryer and very good. Then out comes the sweet & sour pork by itself. We were going to wait for the rest but got to the point of, do we eat it warm or cold. So we started eating it, then finally the ginger beef came, same thing, do we wait or eat it hot or warm, or cold. We asked 2 times about the chow mein and were told its coming. By the time we got the chow mein, the other dishes were quite cold. The lady serving didn’t really seem to have a clue. We noticed the next table that came in after us got all their food at once. So I might order takeout, but no chance I would dine there again.
My lunch at the Don Asian kitchen. I don’t know about you, but several times a month I get the craving for some good Chinese Szechuan style Asian cuisine. The new Don Asian restaurant opened here on East Beach about a year ago! After many passes on trying yet another ho-hum asian eatery, I decided to give the Don a try. It took over 15 minutes to decide because of the huge amount of delectable Szechuan dishes that the chef personaly endorses as his favourites! The mark of any good Szechuan cook is making such a simple dish like Kungpao Chicken stand out. The Don Chef did just that. The Kungpao dish that came to the table was mouthwatering down right delisious! The Beef Chow Mein, Hot and Sour Soup, Vegetable Spring Rolls with a inhouse made Plum Sauce were all first class. Part of the menu was true to the form Szechuan with a well experienced chef creating the same dishes for the last 20+ years along with his wife running the front of the small but very clean eatery! Not too often do I find such a gem of a restaurant and I sure am looking forward to gathering a few of my foodie friends together and see if this guy can produce some unswerving good Szechuan food.
