We wandered over to FishBoat on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was serving 1 table of about 6 people. We thought this would lead us to a quick lunch – it did not. We waited over 45 minutes for our food (we ordered a platter), although the food was good (hot, taste was relatively good albeit the same) we were not asked for refills on our drinks. To add to the charm we overheard (which was not difficult given the 10×10 space) an argument between chef and servers in Punjabi (which I speak fluently) about an incorrect order. Little to say it was unprofessional and continued to tarnish what already was a below average visit. We will not be back. 2.5 for the fish which had no idea it would be served in such a manner.
MY FAVOURITE RESTAURANT. BEST FISH N’ CHIPS AT BEACH. YOU MUST TRY IT!Great service, great price, great food and great atmosphere. I have never tasted better fish and fries than at the Fishboat. I have been here a few times and each visit has been nothing less than perfection. They have a great menu from crispy, light and perfectly cooked fish n’ chips to delicious burgers to fresh salads and even tacos. Everything I have tried made me lick my lingers. I will continue to eat here and recommend this place to all of my friends & family! See you again soon Fishboat!!!
Great food. Love the batter they use. It’s light, and doesn’t cover up the flavour of whatever it’s coating. It’s a bit like tempura.
Fantastic food with a marvellous ambiance and decor! The platters are piled high with fried seafood done right. Ask the owner (the dude with the hair – super nice guy) about the stories behind all the decorative pieces inside.
Great Food – Lost Iphone. Enjoyed a lovely meal but left my Iphone in a teal case on a patio chair outside on July 26th, 2012 around 7:45pm.$1000 Reward offered! Please help me get my phone back!
Great Seafood. We had the king crab bucket and our friends had their halibut and chips with a british drink called a Shandy
The food Tasted like chemicals. Service was poor. Would not recommend!
