It was a beautiful sunny Saturday morning so my wife and I went on a date to White Rock Beach to have fish and chips and listen to the waves. We had done this once before years ago and decided to try somewhere new. The establishment had just opened and the fryers were still warming up when we ordered, while we waited the owner/operator offered us complimentary waters. We ordered one order of Cod and Fries which was supposed to be 3 pieces of fish, but when our order was brought to us we realized that there were 6 pieces of fish. Despite the generosity of our host the fish was over cooked and somewhat flavourless and the fries were soggy.
